Abstract
Računalna forenzika je mlada, brzo rastuća disciplina u informacijskim tehnologijama. Fokusira se na pronalaženje dokaza nakon što se dogodio određeni incident, primjerice, krađa podataka. U računalnoj forenzici puno se toga svodi na standardizirane procedure, a temeljna je procedura, koja i sama ima podprocedure, sljedeća: pripremanje za incident, prikupljanje dokaza, analiza dokaza te izrada završne dokumentacije, tj. izvještaja. Glavni je cilj računalne forenzike napraviti temeljitu istragu kojom ćemo utvrditi što se dogodilo s digitalnim podacima na nekome sustavu i tko je za to odgovoran. To sigurno neće biti jednostavan zadatak jer informacijske tehnologije postaju sve sofisticiranije, primjerice, enkripcija podataka koja postaje sve složenija za dekriptiranje, a sve dostupnija i jednostavnija za korištenje.
Abstract (english)
Computer forensics is a young but fast-growing discipline in information technology. It focuses on finding evidence after the incident occurred e.g. data theft. In computer forensics, a lot comes down to a standardized procedures, and basic procedure which itself has sub-procedures: preparing for the incident, collecting evidence, analyzing evidence, and preparation of final documentation i.e. reports. The main goal of computer forensics is to make a thorough investigation which will determine what has happened with digital data on a system and who is responsible for that. Making that goal certainly will not be an easy task, because information technologies are becoming more sophisticated, e.g. data encryption, which is becoming increasingly complex for the decryption but more accessible and easier to use.
