Abstract
U današnje vrijeme globalnog poslovanja i sveprisutne povezanosti s Internetom, glavni je problem sigurnost podataka koji se prenose tom nesigurnom javnom mreţom. VPN tehnologija omogućuje upravo to – enkripciju i zaštitu integriteta podataka koji putuju kroz javnu mreţu povezujući više privatnih mreţa. IzmeĎu raznih VPN tehnologija, posebno se ističe IPsec, čija je implementacija široko rasprostranjena. Cisco, vodeća tvrtka u proizvodnji mreţne opreme i inovator u mreţnoj tehnologiji, ima nekoliko implementacija IPsec tehnologije, svaku prilagoĎenu za specifične potrebe. U ovom radu, opisane su sastavnice IPsec-a te objašnjene razne vrste konfiguracija za implementaciju IPsec gateway-to-gateway VPN arhitekture primjenjive na Cisco usmjerivačima. Uz standardnu IPsec site-to-site VPN konfiguraciju, obraĎena je i IPsec + GRE tunel VPN konfiguracija te Cisco Easy VPN rješenje. U procesu su objašnjene i razne metode konfiguriranja, od kripto mapa do VTI rješenja, te tehnologije koje su omogućile dinamičko konfiguriranje udaljenih lokacija VPN tunela što je značajno povećalo jednostavnost i skalabilnost rješenja.
Abstract (english)
In today`s global bussinesses and omnipresent connections to the Internet, the main problem is security of data which are transmited over this unsecure public network. VPN technology does just that – encription and integrity protection of data which travel through the public network connecting several private networks. Among different VPN technologies, IPsec stands out as widely spread technology. Cisco, leading network appliances manufacturer and inovator in network technology, has several implementations of IPsec technology, each tailored for specific use. In this paper, IPsec components are described and different configuration types for implementing IPsec gateway-to-gateway VPN architecture used in Cisco routers are explained. Beside standard IPsec site-to-site VPN configuration, IPsec + GRE tunnel VPN and Cisco Easy VPN configurations are presented. In the process, different configuration methods, from crypto-maps to VTI, are explained and technologies which enabled dynamic configuration of remote VPN sites are discussed, which drastically increases configuration simplicity and scalability.
