Abstract
This graduate thesis explores the development and implementation of a prebuilt computer vision model for real-time tracking of hand movements in 3D space. The aim of this research is to extract precise positional data from the hand landmarks, enabling the operation of a robotic hand through a microcontroller and servomotors. The proposed computer vision system employs state-of-the-art deep learning techniques to accurately detect and track the position of hand and orientation in real-time. The extracted 3D positional data is then utilized to control a robotic hand, mirroring the movements of the hand. By interfacing with a microcontroller and servomotors, the robotic hand emulates human-like motion, offering a novel and intuitive method of interacting with robotic systems.
