Abstract
Pass the hash je tehnika napada koja se koristi više od 15 godina u svrhu dobivanja pristupa na Windows sustavima korištenjem sažetaka zaporki. Pass the hash metoda temelji se na dobivanju sažetka zaporke od jednog korisnika unutar infrastrukture s administrativnim privilegijama. To je moguće pribaviti na bilo kojem računalu unutar infrastrukture, ako ono nije dobro konfigurirano ili nema ažurirane sigurnosne zakrpe. Infrastruktura organizacije je ugrožena čim napadač ostvari prvobitan pristup na jednom od računala i dohvati akreditive s tog računala. U radu je detaljno opisano na koji način djeluje pass the hash i zašto ga nije moguće jednostavno spriječiti.
Abstract (english)
Pass the hash is an attack method used for more than 15 year in order to gain access to Windows systems using the hash from password in order to achieve access. Pass the hash method is based on obtaining password hashes from users in the infrastructure of the organization that have administrative privileges, it is possible to obtain the hash on any computer within the infrastructure that is not configured correctly or not up to date with security patches. After the attacker establishes access on a computer and is able to retrieve credentials from that computer he has already gain access to the entire infrastructure of the organization by using the credentials found on the entry point. Due to the way pass the hash attack works, which is thoroughly discussed in this paper, this attack can not be easily prevented.
