Abstract
Distribuirani Datotečni Sustav (engl. Distributed File System, DFS) je značajka Windows Server 2012 R2 operacijskog sustava. Pruža redundanciju podataka te njihovu sinkronizaciju između udaljenih ureda. DFS omogućuje konfiguraciju dva tipa imenskog prostora te dvije različite replikacijske grupe. Svaki od tipova imenskog prostora i replikacijske grupe ima nekoliko značajki po kojima se razlikuje od drugog tipa. U radu će biti opisani procesi instalacije i konfiguracije svih tipova imenskog prostora i replikacijskih grupa te konfiguracija replikacije u kombinaciji sa deduplikacijom podataka te Failover Clusterom. U zadnjem dijelu rada DFS će biti uspoređen sa ulogom BranchCache koja može pružiti sličnu funkcionalnost. Rezultat rada je detaljno opisana funkcionalnost DFS-a u kombinaciji sa postupkom konfiguracije i praktičnim primjerima implementacije.
Abstract (english)
Distributed File System (DFS) is a feature of Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system. It provides data redundancy and their syncronization between sites. DFS offers configuration of the two namespace types and the two different replication groups. Each of the namespace type and each of the replication group has a few features that differentiates them from the other type. Processes of installation and configuration of all types of the namespace and the replication groups and configuration of the replication combined with the data deduplication and with failover cluster will be described in this paper. In the last part of the paper DFS will be compared to the BranchCache role that can provide similar funcionality. The result of the paper is detailed description of the DFS funcionality combined with configuration procedure and practical examples of implementation.
